Understanding the Services
THERAPEUTIC ASSESSMENT
After an in depth review of clients’ medical history, Danny will recommend certain massage types to appropriately address areas of concern. This can be any modality under his scope of practice.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue manipulation is a broad term to categorize techniques like myofascial, trigger point therapy, and INIT.
MYOFASCIAL
This work targets the fascial system in your body. When fascia is tightened or shortened, it can affect posture, contibue to pain, loss of flexibility, and discomfort. Working to loosen up the fascia is a great warm up to allow the body to fully relax and accept other deep tissue work.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Also known as TPT. It is the application of direct pressure on areas of concentrated tension in the muscles. By pressing down to the clients “7/10” on a scale of discomfort, the point is actively being broken up, forced to release contraction, and/or loosen. This therapy works to help increase range of motion, address chronic “sore spots” throughout the body, can relieve headaches, and so much more.
INIT
Works directly with trigger point therapy, and incorporates a shortened position for the targeted muscle. By doing so, it stops the pain signal from activating and allowing the muscle to stop contraction and increase the effectiveness of TPT/INIT.
SWEDISH MASSAGE
This is the basis of most western massage. It is a light pressure work, with smooth connective movements to maximize relaxation and stress relief.
POLARITY WORK
This is focused on the energy of the client. With the use of crystals, energy channels of the body, and minimal physical input, you emerge into a meditative experience.
CRANIAL MASSAGE
This will be a combined therapy of any modality described above. The scalp, face, and neck hold so much tension of every day. Every expression held, every nod yes or no, every glance at a sound. The release from a good scalp massage will you feeling brand new.
